Time for book three. Spoilers ahead.
Another Puppy Patrol book. Spoilers ahead.
Side note: This is the fourth book in the series, but the second book I'm reviewing. This is because I don't own all the books of this series (there's a lot). Also, not all of them have been translated into Dutch (yet). However, this series is pretty much an anthology and can be read out of order. So it shouldn't be an issue.
Ah, the Puppy Patrol books. Massive nostalgia for me. The Dutch translations of these are some of the earliest books I remember devouring as a kid.
Last week I visited a secondhand book store and to my surprise, they had a small selection of Puppy Patrol books available. So I bought them with the purpose of reading and reviewing them, and of course just enjoying them and reliving some nostalgia. Spoilers ahead.
Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Kalle & de woeste wolf.
Saw that my library had a new book about wolves available, so I checked it out. Spoilers ahead.
This book I bought secondhand years ago (like, I believe, a least three years ago) and just never ended up reading. So let's read it at last. Spoilers ahead...for this 100+ year old book haha.
Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads De wolf en ik.
A new wolf book got published in the Netherlands and obviously I had to check it out ASAP. Spoilers ahead.
I've had this one on my TBR for over a decade, fun fact, it's one of the first ones I ever added to my Goodreads list. So let's finally check it out. Spoilers ahead.
Only one book left after this one. But how is this book? Is it good, or maybe not? Let's take a look.
Also yes, obvious disclaimer is obvious, I am friends with the author, but this review is my honest opinion.
This is a book I picked up not because it particularly interesting to me, but rather for the context around it: It being one of the first published xenofiction novels we know of. I managed to find a public domain ebook of it and gave it a read. Spoilers ahead (for as far as one can see spoilers for a 200+ year old book as actual spoilers).
Another wolf xenofiction I randomly came across one day, instantly bought, and instantly read. Spoilers ahead.
Note: This book has, at the time of publishing this review, not been translated into English (yet). I am unable to read the original Chinese release, therefore I'll be basing my review on the German and Dutch editions which I read.
The final book in the main White Fox story. There's some more spin-offs after this, but this concludes the main arc as far as I know. Spoilers ahead.
Not entirely sure where this is positioned in the Wolves of Elementa series, but my guess is after book two but maybe even later. Ah well, spoilers ahead.
Accidentally came across this while browsing Goodreads and you know me, I'll read any wolf xenofiction I can get my hands on. Spoilers ahead.
A brand new Erin Hunter series! I've been anticipating this big-time. It's a well-known fact at this point that I quite enjoy some of the Hunter sister-series like Bamboo Kingdom and Bravelands. So will this first installment stick the landing? Let's find out. Spoilers ahead.
Let's conclude the Duncton series with this book. Spoilers ahead.
Side note: Content warning for mentions of SA/rape/incest in this review.
Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Foxfighter #2: Rivalen des Waldes.
Book two is out at last! And it came out on my birthday! Yay! Spoilers ahead.
Just a book that interested me based on the cover. I do like the idea of winged canines. Let’s see what it’s like. Spoilers ahead.
I didn't even know that Snow Dog was the first installment of a duology when I got it. So let's take a look at the sequel. Spoilers ahead.
Another book I've been meaning to obtain for ages but never got until now. Thanks to my brother and his girlfriend giving it to me for my birthday, I now own a copy! Spoilers ahead.
I can't believe I'm almost done with the Duncton books. Makes me sad, because I really enjoy those. Oh well, spoilers ahead.
No, I haven't abandoned this series. I'm just taking my sweet time getting through it, like with so many. So let's take a look at book three. Spoilers ahead.
I'm on a journey to check out all of this author's books, and this is the last one that's out at the moment that I haven't gotten to yet. Let's see if it's good. Spoilers ahead.
Another installment in the Hannah Gold Bear-series. This one being kinda like a short side-story for World Book Day 2026, so don't go in expecting a full-sized novel like with the other Bear stories. Spoilers ahead.
I've read all of Gold's books taking place in the "Bear-niverse" (for lack of a better term), but so far haven't checked out the other stand-alone novels by her, Turtle Moon and The Last Whale. So why not do that now? My library thankfully has copies. Spoilers ahead.
This is a book I've been anticipating for a long time, but had trouble ordering for some reason. The first time I ordered it my copy got lost in the mail and I was automatically refunded. The second time the package was delayed twice, then lost again, yet it suddenly showed up right out of nowhere a week later. So at least I have the book now, but at the same time, where did the mail keep messing up so badly?
Oh well. Spoilers ahead and stuff.
The third book in the series. Perhaps the last? It has been a while since this released and I haven't seen any updates on Pet Legends in a bit.
Spoilers ahead.
Honestly funnily enough I read this book before with the intention of reviewing it, but for whatever reason it completely slipped my mind. And by the time I remembered that I had to review it, the memory was too long-faded to be able to provide the book a fair review. So now I gave it another read. Spoilers ahead.
Book three time! Spoilers ahead!
This book appears to be a reboot of the book Fearless by the same author. I've tried to obtain a copy of Fearless for quite some time now (well over a year if I recall correctly), but it's out of print and so far I haven't been lucky enough to find one. So the reboot will have to suffice. Spoiler ahead.
Tui suddenly dumping another Winglets on us after years of no new novellas in this series? Okay then. Spoiler ahead.
You ever wanted to read a bad wolf xenofiction? No? You ever wanted to read the same bad wolf xenofiction twice but in very slightly different versions? This is the book for you. Spoilers ahead.
Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Le Tredici Spade #4: Il segreto del lupo.
Book four, so I can finally be done with this series. Spoilers ahead.
This is kinda an emotional read for me, not because of the book itself per se, but because it marks the end of a journey I started as a young tween. Back then, I got book one for the Sinterklaas holiday, and I devoured it. Now, years later, I'm finally ending my journey with Torak, Renn and Wolf. Spoilers ahead.
