If you know anything about me, you know that thylacines are my favorite animals. Yes, even surpassing wolves. Yet I haven't yet read too many books on this subject. Let's change that! This book is as of writing this review the latest and most up-to-date work regarding thylacines.

Book Review: City of Foxes by Vanessa Walder (The Secret Life of Animals: Forest #3)
Note:
The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the
reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't
available in English (yet). The original title reads Das Geheime Leben der Tiere: Wald #1: Stadt der Füchse.
Before you're wondering "hey, why is Alex reviewing book three in this series but have they skipped book two?": the answer is simple, this is an anthology series. Each book is about a different animal and a completely different story. Book one (which I did review) is about a she-wolf, book two is about bears (which I do plan on covering eventually, just not yet), and book three is about foxes. Book four is about ravens, but I'm unsure if I want to cover that one. So just to let you know that you (or I) are/am not missing out on anything by skipping book two.
Without further ado, let's have a look.

Book Review: Mammals by T.S. Kemp (Oxford's Very Short Introductions series #535)
I never heard of this non-fiction book series before, but I like how short and simple their books look. Let's take a gander.

This one has been on my to-read list for quite some time! I recently watched the animated show based on it, which sparked my interest for the book even more. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: The Efteling: The Chronicle of a Fairy Tale by Henk vanden Diepstraten
Note:
The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the
reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't
available in English (yet). The original title reads De Efteling: Kroniek van een sprookje
Okay, so, poorly-kept Alex secret: I love theme parks. I've visited quite a few in my time and while I love most, my favorite always will remain one in my home-country of the Netherlands: The Efteling, a fantasy/folklore/fairy tale-based theme park. I've visited it quite a few times and still try to visit it at least once per year if I can. It's definitely a family park, but it also has some rides for thrill-seekers such as myself. But even discounting the thrills, it's just a beautifully themed park with a lot of nature in it, and I adore most rides.
So when I saw that there was this huge book covering the park's entire history (well, up until the point the book got published, anyways), I had to grab it. Let's have a look.

This is a prequel/midquel/short story collection based on the book Luna the Lone Wolf, which I have reviewed before. Let's take a look! Note that this review contains both spoilers for this book and Luna.

Book Review: Duncton Wood by William Horwood (Duncton Chronicles #1)
Never thought I'd consider reading mole xenofiction since I don't really have a particular interest in the animals, but it did look engaging to me. So let's have a look, spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Wolf! by Geoffrey Malone (Stories From the Wild)
Phew, it was some hassle to get this book. Originally ordered it in November but after several shipping delays I ended up cancelling the order and just buying the ebook. Shame, I'd have liked a physical copy on my wolf shelf.
Anyways, let's take a look at this one. Spoilers ahead.

It took me over a year or three, but I've finally read the last Seekers book! And no, I'm not planning on covering the graphic novels. Let's see. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Breakers of the Code by Erin Hunter (Bravelands: Thunder on the Plains #2)
The second book of what seems to be the final Bravelands arc. I'm sad about it coming to a close soon, but at least it was overall a good series, unlike some other Erin Hunter properties.
Let's dive in, spoilers ahead.

Book Review: The Mage by Inbali Iserles (Foxcraft #3)
It has been a while since I promised to take a look at this one. Long story short, it took me ages and ages to find a copy online which matches my editions of books one and two. At one point I ordered one but they sent me the wrong edition, so I ended up returning it. It was a whole ordeal but I've now finally got a matched set, by buying this (correct) edition of The Mage secondhand.
Anyways, let's finish the trilogy, spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Endurance in Antarctica by Katrina Charman (Survival Tails #2)
I know this is the second book in the series and I haven't reviewed the first, but keep in mind this series is an anthology of standalone stories which can be read separately. I simply started with this one because it seemed the most interesting to me. I'm kinda into sled dog fiction and all that jazz.
Anyways, spoilers ahead.

Book Review: White Fox by Chen Jiatong (The White Fox #1)
This one piqued my interest a while back when I first saw it in German bookstores. While the first two books have been translated into English, Germany has (as far as I know) covered the entire series plus a few spinoffs, and I wanted to practice my German anyways, so I picked up a German copy of the first book. Spoilers ahead.
