Book Review: Surviving With Wolves/Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years by Misha Defonseca

I know I rarely tackle books about such serious subjects, but I just had to get some words off of my chest about this book. Let’s have a look at Misha: A Mémoire of the Holocaust Years or Surviving with Wolves, depending on what release you're reading.

Book Review: The Winged Crescent by K.J. Backer (Nav'Aria #3)

Okay, so, full disclosure: I originally did not intend to finish this trilogy. I got book one and two for free on Amazon a while back and book two just really disappointed me, kind of killing my desire to continue the series. However, back then I didn't know how many books were left of Nav'Aria: one, apparently. And since I was looking for more books to review, honestly, what the heck, why not. Let's take a look at the last book in the trilogy. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Assassin by Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire Winglets #2)

A Deathbringer novella, interesting. Will this change my mind on his character? Let's find out. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Prisoners by Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire Winglets #1)

So I originally wrote some reviews for the Winglets way back when I was still doing only video reviews on YouTube. I'm doing these very low-key still, but my main review hub is and probably always will be on here. The reviews back then were also pretty negative and rushed, with me reading all the Winglets in succession and only writing the reviews thereafter, which caused them to somewhat bleed together in my head. So now I'll be taking a look at each of them separately and carefully. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Outlaw Wolves of the Currumpaw by Ali Keleher

Some of you might be familiar with the story of "Lobo", a real life legendary wolf from the past. This book is basically a fictionalized account of the events in his life. Spoilers ahead!

Book Review: Survivors Arc 2: The Gathering Darkness by Erin Hunter

It’s been a hot minute since I last looked at Survivors, mostly because I took a long time to get all of the sequel books and I wanted to read them all in succession. I already reviewed the first book of this arc separately, but I’ll be going over all of them and the arc as a whole here!

I know that one of the authors of this series, Gillian Philip, has been outed as a transphobe and of course I don’t support this person. The difference is, however, that Philip has since been fired from the Erin Hunter team and is no longer making any money off of these books, so an argument for separating art from the artist can be made here, unlike in the case of J.K Rowling, for example, who is still very much attached to the Harry Potter series. So I will be looking at this series as a separate thing and not address Philip’s views unless it directly comes into play in the book series, which I doubt since so far there’s been no trans characters in any Erin Hunter property. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get into the books! Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Darkstalker by Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire Legends #1)

Now that I'm all caught up to Wings of Fire except for this one and the novellas, I think it's about time we took a look at Darkstalker, the first in the Wings of Fire Legends series. Spoilers ahead!

Book Review: The Rise of Wolf 8 by Rick McIntyre (The Alpha Wolves of Yellowstone #1)

Wolf non-fiction, I can't get enough of it. I don't consume a whole lot of non-fiction aside from the "wolves" subject, but honestly I feel like that's okay. I love reading about these animals and learning about their behavior and even specific individuals, such as is the case over here.

Book Review: Tides of the Dark Crystal by J.M. Lee (Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal #3)

It has been a good while since we last dove into the Dark Crystal-verse, right? I'm definitely continuing to review these books, it'll just take a while since I have so many other book series to catch up on. Ah well, I got book three for my birthday, so here's my opportunity to read and review it! Spoilers ahead!

Book Review: The Dangerous Gift by Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire #14)

Can you guys believe we're almost done with arc three already? I sure as hell cannot. Okay, so, because I literally just finished the book and want to write this review while it's still fresh in my head, we're skipping ahead to this book. Don't worry, I'll go back to writing reviews of the previous books again after this, I haven't forgotten about those! So let's see how good The Dangerous Gift really is! Spoilers ahead!

Book Review: Escaping Peril by Tui T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire #8)

Finally, a book with Peril POV. I've been waiting for this since she got introduced in book one, with her being one of my favorite Wings of Fire characters. Let's see how good this book is! Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Winter Turning by Tui. T. Sutherland (Wings of Fire #7)

If you ask me, the first installment in the second Wings of Fire arc, Moon Rising, was a bit of a disappointment. That's not to say it wasn't good, but it just paled in comparison to how good arc one was. So let's see if book two in arc two (book seven overall) is any better! Spoilers ahead!
