Book Review: Wolf's Heart by Annemarie van den Brink and Suzanne Wouda

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Wolvenhart.

A short story collection! I do not read nearly enough of those.

Book Review: Cat Sense by John Bradshaw

I don't read enough cat non-fiction, despite them being my favorite domesticated animals. So here we go.

Book Review: Wolves by Alain M. Bergeron, Michel Quintin & Sampar (Did You Know? #38)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Savais-tu? Les Loups.

I can and will review every wolf-related book my local libraries have. I am too powerful. You cannot stop me.

Book Review: Pirate's Son by Rob Ruggenberg

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Piratenzoon.

A prime example of "a book I picked up from the library just because it has wolves on the cover". The actual book itself has very little to do with wolves outside from them showing up in a few scenes. Ah well, spoilers ahead, as well as content warnings for mentions of slavery.

Book Review: The Raven by Louis Beyens

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads De raaf.

Me reviewing bird non-fiction. Because while I love birds I really do know very little about them (even my favorites) and I'm always up to learning more!

Book Review: Storm by Karen van Holst Pellekaan

Note: this book is not available in English (yet).

Apparently this is based on a movie I've never heard of, or perhaps the other way around? Either way, the cover looked interesting and I don't read a lot of historical fiction so. Why not. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: The Dream Guardian by Thea Stilton (Incanto #2)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Incanto #2: Le Guardiane dei sogni.

Book two. I didn't expect I'd pick this one up so soon after the first but these do make for some quick and fun reads. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Silas and the Wolf by Selma Noort

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Silas en de wolf.

Yet another wolf book to add to the list. Gotta read 'em all. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Timber by Maya Boeke

Note: this book is not available in English (yet).

A non-fiction that was written by Boeke but published posthumously by her sister. That's a nice gesture. Let's have a look.

Book Review: The Wolf Tamer by Barbara Jurgens (The Wolf Tamer #1)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads De wolventemmer #1: De wolventemmer.

This one intrigued me from the start! Let's have a look, spoilers ahead!

Book Review: Nala's World by Dean Nicholson

The concept of this book instantly intrigued me when I read the back text. So let's have a look at one man's biking travels across the world. With a cat.

Book Review: The Secret of the Prinsesses by Thea Stilton (Incanto #1)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Incanto: Il Segreto delle Principesse.

Remember how I started reading that series Princesses of Fantasy Kingdom a bit ago? Okay, so I picked up this book by the same pen name because it looked promising. What I did not know going in is that it featured the same characters as Princesses of Fantasy Kingdom but in a completely different universe where the previous continuity has little to no bearing to what's going on. Let's review this thing. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: A Street Cat Named Bob by James Bowen (Bob the Cat #1)

Okay, I've been wanting to read this book for a while now! Bob's story has intrigued me since I first heard of it, and the movie based on it I watched was also pretty good. So it's neat to finally get to read the story firsthand by Bowen himself.

Book Review: Aïn, the Halfling’s Death by Atalanta Nèhmoura (The Chronicles of Ulriach the Madman #1)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads De Kronieken van Ulriach de Waanzinnige #1: Aïn, de dood van de halfling.

What a mouthful of a title. Even in the original Dutch version. This fantasy sparked my interest at the library, so let's have a look. Spoilers ahead, and this review does include a very brief mention of CSA if that makes you uncomfortable.

Book Review: Gray Wolves by Al Albertson (Animals of the Forest)

Yes, I am still reviewing wolf non-fiction for young readers. I love consuming any wolf media including these. They're always fun to review and look at even if they're usually not very elaborate.

Book Review: We Were Here First by Joukje Akveld

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Wij waren hier eerst.

Another animal non-fiction, this time for teenage readers.

Book Review: The Desert Princess by Thea Stilton (Princesses of Fantasy Kingdom #3)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Principesse del Regno della Fantasia #3: Principessa del Deserto.

Book three! I've had mixed thoughts on this series so far, but I like it enough to continue reading. Spoilers ahead.

Book Review: Finding Gobi by Dion Leonard

What is it with those heartfelt animal non-fictions that usually just gets me? I don't know. My love for animals, I suppose. Anyways, let's dive in.

Book Review: The Source of Magic by Hans Dubbelman (Triban #1)

Note: The title of this book has been translated into English by me for the reading comprehension of this blog's viewers as the book itself isn't available in English (yet). The original title reads Triban #1: De bron der magie.

You know, not judging a book by its cover goes both ways. An absolute gem of a book could have a cover that's outright crap, but a bad or boring book can also have a fantastic cover. Make of that what you will. Spoilers ahead.
