A fox xenofiction. Spoiler ahead.
Torn Ear is a young fox who grows up in the wild. Here, he learns to survive and meets his eventual mate, Velvet. Once they have a family, he will have to find a way to protect not just himself and Velvet, but also his kits.
This book is perfectly fine. But that's also kinda everything I have to say about it. It's decent, but it just didn't really stand out to me in any way. It basically falls in the same type of category as non-anthropmorphized fox xenofiction such as Vulpes, the Red Fox.
I just feel that Torn Ear does too little to really set itself apart. The characters are just okay but nothing amazing, the story is very simple, and while it was decent enough it didn't exactly have me hooked, either.
I think that this is just a case of "too simple and bland for me, at least as far as fox xenofiction goes.
